3 BHK interior design

A 3 BHK gives a family room to breathe, and with that comes a longer list: three bedrooms, a larger living and dining area, a kitchen that serves more people and often a study or a pooja space. We plan the whole home together so the rooms feel related and the storage is generous.Packages for a 3 BHK start from ₹4.9 lakh for the Essential tier, with Signature and Luxe tiers above it. The final figure follows a site visit and an itemised estimate.

01Fit

Is it right for your home?

Works best when

  • Families with children, grandparents or frequent guests
  • Homes that need a study, a work-from-home corner or a prayer space
  • Owners who prefer one team to coordinate carpentry, ceilings, painting and electrical work
  • New possession flats and larger renovations
  • Households that want a richer finish in the main rooms and a simpler one in the rest

Worth considering

  • More rooms means more decisions. A single palette keeps them manageable.
  • A bigger home takes longer to finish, so agree the order of work and a fixed timeline early.
  • Keep the main rooms for the best finishes and use simpler ones in the secondary rooms.
  • Plan wiring for work-from-home needs, such as extra sockets and a network point.
  • Larger rooms need layered lighting, otherwise a single ceiling light feels flat.

02Design ideas

Ideas to start from

  • Master suite with a dressing unit

A ceiling-height wardrobe, a dressing counter with a mirror and a bed with a panelled backdrop.

  • Children's room that grows up

A bed, a wardrobe and a study table now, with the study area expanding as the child grows.

  • Guest room that doubles as a study

A sofa bed or a bed with storage, a desk and a wall of shelves.

  • Family lounge with a feature wall

A TV wall with panelling, hidden wires and a display niche, with seating arranged to face it.

  • Dining with a crockery unit

A crockery cabinet with glass shutters and a closed base, placed beside the dining table.

  • Pooja unit planned with vastu in mind

Many families prefer the north-east corner. We plan the unit to fit your home's layout and your preference.

  • Parallel or U-shaped kitchen

Both layouts give more counter and storage, with a utility space or a pantry unit beside the kitchen.

  • Ceiling and lighting plan

Cove lighting, spotlights and pendant points laid out for each room and each time of day.

04Planning

Sizing and planning notes

Typical area
A 3 BHK is commonly around 1,000 square feet of carpet area, though many are larger. We measure the actual plan.
Room sizes
A master bedroom of about 12 by 14 feet takes a bed, a full wardrobe wall and a small dressing area. Smaller bedrooms usually need sliding wardrobes.
Kitchen and utility
A kitchen of this size can take a U-shaped or parallel layout with a tall pantry. A washing and utility corner nearby keeps the main kitchen tidy.
Lighting zones
Plan separate switches for general, accent and task light in the living room, so the room can shift from bright to soft.
Order of work
Civil and electrical work first, then ceilings, woodwork, painting and fittings. With three bedrooms, we schedule rooms in sequence.

06FAQ

3 BHK interior design: your questions

How much does 3 BHK interior design cost?

Our 3 BHK packages start from ₹4.9 lakh for the Essential tier. The final cost depends on the carpet area, finishes and scope, and you receive an itemised estimate after the site visit.

What does the 3 BHK Essential package include?

Core woodwork: a shoe cabinet, a TV unit, hinged wardrobes and beds with headboards in each bedroom, side tables in the master, and a modular kitchen with chimney and hob. Civil work, electrical rewiring and other appliances are quoted separately.

What does a higher package add for a 3 BHK?

Signature adds a pooja unit, dining set, dressing unit, study tables, and a ceiling-height wardrobe in the second and third bedrooms. Luxe adds false ceilings with cove lighting, full-home painting, wall panelling, wallpaper, curtains, and a sofa with a centre table and rug.

How long will a 3 BHK take?

It depends on the scope, including civil work, ceilings and finishes. We agree a fixed timeline upfront and track it through every stage.

Can you plan a home office or study in a 3 BHK?

Yes. A spare bedroom or a corner of the living room can take a desk, shelves, storage and extra power and network points. We plan the wiring before the walls are finished.

Do you do 4 BHK homes and villas?

Yes. Larger homes are quoted individually after a site visit, since the scope varies widely.

Can I use my existing furniture?

Yes. Tell us what you want to keep and we plan around it, so new and old pieces sit together.
